Eclectic Magic at the Teatro Angela Peralta

The only thing louder than the pounding rain was the thunderous applause and standing ovation after the Friday evening concert at the Teatro Angela Peralta in San Miguel de Allende. The stirring music from an eclectic group of performers featured the passionate voices of Alberto Solis and Adriana Valdes. Musicians hailed from Cuba, Korea, Mexico and the United States and the concert included songs from Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Spain. Bathed in iridescent hues the sizzling music warmed and energized the large, enthusiastic crowd. You can catch the second concert tonight at 7pm with tickets available at the Teatro Peralta box office.

Gil live at the Orford Arts Festival July 20th

This week Gil will be performing in Quebec, Canada at the popular 2013 Orford Arts Festival at 8pm on July 20. The festival is a synergy of musical styles including baroque, orchestras, piano, chamber music, opera and jazz.

He will be joined by Gabriel Hernandez on the piano and keyboards, Jorge Torres on percussion and Roberto Mederos on bass for a mix of Afro-Latin, classical and Gypsy jazz. To purchase tickets visit this link.
